Donna Walker is a registered nurse employed at Horizon Surgical since 2009. As a member of the surgical team, she is committed to taking care of surgical patients from their initial office visit to post-op recovery. She takes care of scheduling surgery, any testing that may be needed, obtaining insurance approvals, and answering any questions the patient may have along the way.
She earned an ADN from Wallace State in 2008, where she also received the Florence Nightingale Award. From the beginning of her nursing career, she knew she wanted a nursing role where she could get to know her patients on a personal level. It is important to her to take care of the patient, and not just the patient’s problem.
Donna grew up locally and spent 20 years traveling secondary to her husband’s military career. Family is the heart of her life, and she enjoys spending time with her family and two wonderful granddaughters.
